Supreme F/W 2009

This brand just produces some of the dopest streetwear clothing on the market and they do it collection after collection. The collection is very complete and offers a wide range of t-shirts, shirts, outerwear, hoodies, sweaters, 5-panel caps, New Era caps and accessories. Me and Ozzie are looking forward to copping a couple of items (tees, backpack and a jacket for me). It will drop in America on the 4th September and several days after that in the U.K.

DJ AM sneaker collector

Well Ozzie has showcased the music and I'm here to talk about this mans sneaker collection. As you can see from the picture he loved his Nike dunks and had every rare pair (Yellow and black are the Wu tang clan dunks which cost 8000 dollars). He loved his sneakers so much that he wore them with formal clothing as well. My question is whats going to happen to all those trainers?...
I think they should be sold and the money donated to charities that help with recovering addicts. This way he will always be remembered.
Two videos after the jump.

Ozzie's Music Showcase Vol. 4 - DJ AM Tribute!

This is a post showcasing music from the late DJ AM, he was a superstar DJ and had exceptional mash-up tapes with the talented drummer Travis Barker, I used to jam to these while playing pro evo all year.

Microsoft sucks at Photoshop

US site & then Polish site pics

So in a funny/racist move by Microsoft Poland, they decided to photoshop the black dude out in one of their marketing pictures for Poland... and I thought the poles loved black people... ;-)

Anyway, MS changed it back now and apologised, but it did not stop 'teh internets' from making jokes at the incident.

Star Wars MS had their own version too!

What MS russia would have done!

Battle Of The Players

University is fast approaching, this means money is fast approaching and this means spending plans are already ongoing. This time it is music players, since I am a music addict (you might have noticed that) picking a good music player is very important to me, so I will need you guys to help me out by reading this and then taking part in the poll on the top right corner of the site.

Zune HD (32GB)

The newest toy in town, the beatiful Zune HD is the only touch screen device I ever considered buying. It is mainly due to it is sexy look and it is amazing specfication. Let me put it in a language you guys understand: this little thing plays high definition video, cool right? there is a catch though; it is only 32GB, and anyone that knows me, will tell you that it is not enough.

iPod Classic (120GB)

I never was an iPod dude, but I had a good experience with one this summer. However, unlike everyone who loves this device, the selling point for me was: Genius. This automatically generates a playlist of songs that will go together. Which, helps whenever I am too lazy to make my own lists or if I was on-the-go (pun intended), the catch with this one is I hate iTunes and I am anti-apple, also, the iPod Classic design is boring.

Original Zune (120GB)

My first love. The original Zune has more storage than you will ever need (this does not inc. me) it will fit most pockets, and has an interface that I am familiar with (used it for 2 years) and finally, I can operate it from inside my pocket (very important). All sounds good so far, but the Zune is not available in the UK and I have to import it, so it won't have a warranty, which means that if anything happens to it; I am screwed, and that already happened to two of them (my fault).

P.s. The original Zune has been to Vitalise 4 times, so its legend must be continued. Read more.

Raekwon - House of Flying Daggers f. Inspectah Deck, GZA, Ghostface Killah & Method Man

WU, WU, WU. The new video from Raekwon upcoming album OBFCL2, featuring most of the clan is pretty dope, it is different in a good way.

So far Raekwon's album > Jay-Z's BP3. Mark the return of the purple tape, September 8th.

B.o.B (aka Bobby Ray) - Should Have Been the First Album

Word on the street is... that my favourite upcoming artist is being forced into signing a 360 deal or his debut album release might be delayed till forever.. so Shake from the dopehouse put this collection of all the tracks by him, that leaked in the past year or so, and the aim is to spread it to create more buzz and increase his value, which in turn will put pressure on his label Atlantic Records to not fuck our dude over.

Also, It is a good way to familiarise yourself with his work, if you have been sleeping on him. Make sure that you check it out.

O2 and Moose on tour....

De La Soul

Not literally, this is a post about the last two gigs we went to, since neither of us posted anything about them.

Lets start with the latest one, it was De La Soul, it was epic and we managed to score that sweet picture with Trugoy the Dove (Plug two). The night featured guest appearances from Mos Def who performed 'Casa Bey' and the classic 'Umi Says'. Next guest was Prince Paul who did some fuckery skit about cooking beats. The group itself were amazing performing tracks from their 20 years long career. Finally, to rap up an amazing show they brought out Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) to perform Feel Good Inc. and the crowd went wild, it was mind blowing!

The other gig was The Legendary Roots Crew from Philly, Black Thought, ?uestlove and Co. never disappoint, they are one of the best bands to watch live, don't take my word for it though, The Rolling Stone listed them on the best live act list. This show was no exception they rocked a packed Manchester Academy 1 venue and the whole place was shaking when they performed 'The Seed 2.0'. Below is a video of their swagger filled, playful entrance.

p.s. We were first row on both gigs, cos that is how we roll.

Ozzie's Music Showcase Vol. 3 - Jay-Z Mash-up Special!

Jay-Z is one of the most popular rappers ever, so it makes a lot of sense that there are a lot of Mash-up tapes involving his music. So I decided to take the time -lucky you- to get all the better ones, upload them and provide you with a brief explanation, a sample and finally: a working download link.

Danger Mouse - The Grey Album (Jay-Z + The Beatles)

What do you get when you cross Jay-Z's Black Album with The Beatles' White Album? The Grey Album.

This album got a lot of publicity, some of it was caused by its excellence and the rest by EMI attempts to halt its distribution. It is one of my favourite albums and gets heavy play all the time.

Download Here

Mick Boogie & Terry Urban - Viva La Hova (Jay-Z + Coldplay)

This is too dope, since Coldplay have always been one of my personal favourites; all four of their albums are classics. Mick Boogie & Terry Urban did an amazing job on this, it is too good. Honest. Here is a quote from the makers about the tape:
"If you love Jay-Z and you're not into Coldplay, this is for you. If you love Coldplay, but don't mess with hip-hop, this is for you. If you love all good music, this is definitely for you."

Too right I say, enjoy it too.

Download Here

Cookin’ Soul - OJAYZIS (Jay-Z + OASIS)

This one dropped right after the 08' Glastonbury and got inspired by the Noel/Jay-Z beef, Cookin' Soul claim that it took only one night to do this, but don't let all this fuckery distract you from the music and it is good.

Download Here

Minty Fresh Beats - Jaydiohead (Jay-Z + Radiohead)

DJ Minty Fresh Beats mashed instrumental tracks from OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows with various Jay-Z vocals to make this tape, it is the least impressive of the bunch, but it is no where near terrible and anything involving Radiohead is always a win.

Ozzie's Music Showcase Vol. 2 (Rodents Edition)

In the second instalment of my music showcase, I went for a rodents theme, well, enough with the bullshit, here you go.

Modest Mouse - No One's First, And You're Next (Album)

I am not ashamed to say that this was my first experience with Modest Mouse, and the result is a win. These guys are very talented and lack the ability to make a boring record. This one is no different, this album is so good that I added 3 tracks instead of one. However, the other 5 tracks could have easily slipped into my 'Top 3'

Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse - Dark Night of the Soul (Album)

Unlike the first time I talked about this album, I'm focusing on the music this time. This album is written and produced by Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse and performed by such artists as: The Flaming Lips, Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys, Jason Lytle, the Strokes' Julian Casablancas, Frank Black, Iggy Pop, the Shins' James Mercer, Suzanne Vega, Vic Chestnut, The Cardigans' Nina Persson, and David Lynch. And like everything the Mouse touches this is dope.

DJ Quik & Kurupt - Blaqkout (Album)

This album has nothing to do with the theme of the post, it is just a really good album. I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to give it a listen. Don't sleep on it, it is dope.

Ozzie's Music Showcase Vol. 1

This post showcases some of the new-ish tracks, albums and mixtapes that I dig. It will be in many mini volumes due to the big amount of music I need to catch up to, due to my lengthy holiday breaks.

Slaughterhouse - Slaughterhouse (album)

The Hip-Hop super-group consisting of Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce Da 5'9" have their self-titled debut album set to be released on August 11, 2009. I have already heard it and it is pretty decent, I'm not a big fan of Budden, But Joell and Royce go in hard. Below is one of favourite tracks from the album, produced by The Alchemist.

Brother Ali - Us (Single)
Us
This is the first single from Brother Ali's latest effort, which is set to drop some time this year, too lazy to find out. But this is not take away from the dopeness this track is. Enjoy.

XV - Everybody’s Nobody (Mixtape)

I have only listened to the top half of this mixtape and dude has already impressed me, give it a listen, you are not losing anything.
